Trip
P5/6 are going to Largs on Wednesday for their trip. Girls are allowed to wear their school summer dresses instead of trip uniform and boys can wear their gym shorts and school polo shirt. We will be going to Nardinis for an ice cream so children should bring money with them. We are hoping for another lovely day. Children should come to school with sun cream on. If you would like your child to put more sun cream on during the day please send it with them. Thanks.
A Beautiful Sunny Day
Today the Primary 5/6 class took full advantage of the lovely weather and did some of their maths work outside. The class have been working on graphs. We carried out some small class surveys and displayed this on a graph. Later this week the class will be using Microsoft Excel to help them create graphs.

Weather Stations
Today P5/6 went to Cornalees to take part in a workshop called 'Weather and Climate'. The boys and girls used their knowledge and understanding of the topic to answer the ranger's questions. The pupils were then split up into stations and were asked to use the weather instruments to record the weather conditions. The pupils used a range of equipment including thermometers, handheld anemometers and wind vanes. The ranger was very impressed with all the pupils' knowledge of the subject and I was especially impressed with Christopher and Matthew who answered every question in detail. Well done boys! ;0)
